Important Registration instructions.

Post by phil.harris » Thu Nov 02, 2017 5:03 pm

1. On the forum you are identified by a 'username', and HQ want members to use their real names on this forum, so no nicknames please. Choose your ‘username’ so that it ends with your surname as on your vmcc membership card (but NO spaces allowed). e.g. Fred Bloggs should enter FredBloggs or Fred.Bloggs or Fred_Bloggs (Note that it must be at least 6 characters long)
2. You also need to enter the following information:
a. Your email address. (Please ignore the black message at the top - it is not an error message, just a reminder)
b. A password
c. You can specify a language other than 'English' and a Timezone other than 'London' if you desire.
d. Your vmcc membership number.
e. Your name as on your vmcc membership card.
f. Whether you are a Family Member (ie you have a card with a -1 or similar on the end)
g. Complete the anti-spam field. (This may vary)
3. Then when you've entered everything, you need to click the 'submit' button at the bottom of the form.
4. The automatic membership validation software then checks your registration details. If there are errors they will be shown in red. If all is ok you will be shown a confirmation message and you will shortly get a 'Welcome' email, and following that an 'Account activated' email, and then you can login and you will see all of the forum. (Note that Family Members have to be manually activated by one of the Team so there will be a delay before you get your 'activated' email.)

When you are ready, click the ‘Register’ button in the title bar at the top right of this page to apply for membership, and you will get the screen-shot shown below.
